Every once in a while, you experience a wedding day where everything aligns perfectly—and Laura and Marc’s wedding at the Cidery at 51 Acres was just that. From the warm, late-summer weather to the beautiful venue and, of course, their beloved German Shepherd mix, Zoe, it was a day full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

As soon as I arrived at the Cidery, I could feel the closeness of Laura and Marc’s families and friends. Their love for each other and those they hold dear was woven into every detail of their day. Their sweet dog, Zoe, was there to join in the festivities, and she was ready for her close-up! She posed perfectly for portraits, behaving like a seasoned pro. Zoe wasn’t just part of the day; she was part of the family, and her presence added a heartwarming touch to every moment.

Before the first look, Laura shared a private, emotional moment with her father—a quiet exchange before stepping into the whirlwind of her wedding day. It was such a touching reminder of how important these small, intimate moments are. When Laura and Marc had their first look, you could see how much love they share, setting the tone for the entire day.

Their ceremony was short and sweet, just like the couple themselves—simple, yet deeply meaningful. Afterward, guests enjoyed lawn games while we completed family portraits. Laura and Marc made sure to schedule their day in a way that allowed them to join their guests at cocktail hour, where everyone snacked on delicious charcuterie boards, overlooking the Cidery’s beautiful fields just before sunset.

The reception was all about fun and family. From the beginning, Laura and Marc prioritized spending quality time with their loved ones. They skipped the traditional head table and sat with their family and friends, making everyone feel included. Dinner was a feast of tacos, followed by the most mouth-watering tarts. We snuck out for a few golden hour photos, and let me tell you, the sunset behind the field was nothing short of magical. The sun reflected perfectly off the venue’s wall of windows, casting a golden glow over the whole scene.

One of my favourite moments of the day came when Laura’s dad brought empty peanut butter jars for Zoe. Her reaction was priceless and said so much about how deeply the families love each other, including their four-legged members. It’s those moments that stay with you long after the day is over.

The evening wrapped up with heartfelt speeches from Laura and Marc’s parents and wedding party. The room was filled with love and gratitude, and it was clear that their wedding day wasn’t just about celebrating their marriage, but also about celebrating the bonds they share with their families and friends.
